REP lab is Milwaukee rep's annual intern project. As the lighting intern I was responsible for lighting this production with a very tight turn around from the previous show in the space. Having only limited IA crew and only a day and a half of load in and 2 days of tech before our first performance time management was crucial. With a wide variety of shows ranging from a ten minute Musical about texting to an abstract piece performed with only movement and music a flexible lighting plot that was easy and quick to implement was essential. By reusing several FOH lighting positions from the previous show as well as extensive pre planning with the directors I was able to maximize time usage during tech and was able to create some truly memorable lighting moments.
